Black Lace

This top is amazing!

I have to say that I’m not always a big fan of lace… I think that very often, the pattern isn’t very fine and the fiber quality isn’t really the best. Lace is like any other fabric. There are different grades of quality and for someone with a good eye, this is noticeable. But in this case, I assure you that the quality is there!

With a top like this one, you can simply pair it with black pants and pumps, and with some delicate gold jewelry. You’ll look amazing!

Happy Watermelon

It’s July. The weather is nice. What bliss!

I am wearing a really cute watermelon print tee made of pima cotton, which is the highest quality! It’s also time to wear shorts! I love this linen model which has a nice fitted cut and a vibrant color.

It’s a very simple look, but it’s absolutely perfect for the warmer days of summer!

You can find these two pieces at the Des vertes et des pas mûres boutique!

Happy summer!

Des petits hauts

I love this brand! It was created a few years ago by two passionate French sisters. Their catchphrase is: “la vie en plus jolie” (which means “life in prettier”). How charming and inspiring!

The pieces of this brand blend perfectly together! It’s possible to layer them as we like. This slub cotton dress is very light and soft, which is ideal for summer. The blouse is made from very delicate 100% cotton guipure and adds sophistication to any outfit! This top is also sublime with jeans, shorts, a colorful dress, a skirt or even a bathing suit! And this pretty cardigan, knitted with a fantasy stitch and golden lurex, will keep you warm and cosy at night!

You will find these three pieces at the Des vertes et des pas mûres boutique.

Chalk and Ice Cream

It’s always charming to see children’s drawings on the pavement. It’s definitely pretty and it brightens any walk. It makes me crave ice cream (or maybe it’s just because it’s very warm outside). My love (the man behind the lens) and I treated ourselves to the best ice cream in Montreal, Kem Coba. So no, I didn’t eat both of these cones!

On weekends, I like to wear comfortable clothes, so it’s the perfect time to pull out my boyfriend jeans! This pair is damaged, but not to much, and I really love its faded blue which is the perfect tone for summer. I paired it with my reversible belt which has a golden on one side and zebra on the other. To stay in this palette, I opted for my leopard espadrilles and my bucket bag that I bring with me everywhere these days! And finally, I finished the look with an off-white tee which features a pretty neckline at the back. It even has small ties to attached the t-shirt to a bra strap in order to prevent the shoulders from slipping. So practical!

Dress Season

I always find that time of the year when you first wear a little dress without extra layers a little strange. I wonder if the warm weather is truly here! And then, a doubt grows inside me… Am I going to be cold? Is my skirt to short? And I admit, I’m always a bit shocked to realize how white my legs are! But the moment I step outside, all my worries melt away as I enjoy the moment and this pleasant breeze that caressing my skin. The little dress season has officially started!

Spring Day

Last Friday was the first pretty day of spring in Montreal, and I didn’t hesitate to put on my leopard espadrilles and go bask in the sun! As you may know by now, I get chilly easily, so I opted for a turtleneck sweater. This one is definitely my favorite. I love how its loose collar can be styled in different ways. Unfolded, it can cover my nose, but I like to fold it inward for a contemporary look, or place it haphazardly for a relaxed and casual look. And, do you remember this blazer? I found it at 70% off last year–what a find! I love its loose fit and it’s definitely a good quality piece which adds elegance to every outfit. To complete the look, I chose a white pant and some caramel and golden accessories to reflect this beautiful spring light!
