Off The Shoulders

The off the shoulder top is THE trend item of the year! It’s also a beautiful piece to add to your timeless wardrobe. Here is some advice to find the perfect one:

-The cut: You’ll find many different styles in stores: some with trumpet sleeves or ruffles, others with different length. I think they’re all beautiful, but If you want to invest in a piece that’ll remain classic over the years, I suggest opting for a simpler version. Mine has 3/4 sleeves and a regular length, so I can wear it tucked in a skirt or over my pants for a more casual look.

-The color: the off the shoulder top is a summer essential, but if you opt for a color you would wear all year long, you’ll be able to add a blazer over it or wear a shirt underneath. As you can see in the pictures, I opted for a black version because it matches perfectly with all the items I have in my wardrobe!

-The fabric: When investing in a piece you hope to wear many years, I suggest taking the time to find one made of from a good fabric. With appropriate care, it will last for years! This one is made of silk, which is extremely comfortable to wear in summer and looks luxurious and chic for a special event or under a blazer at work.

This way, you’ll enjoy your off the shoulder top all year long and for many years to come!

The Pleated Skirt

Hi everyone!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer so far!

I’ve had an extremely busy one, working in three different acupuncture clinics and planning a very special upcoming event: my wedding!!!

I had to reorganize my schedule because I work 12 hours a day during the week and plan my wedding on weekends. Unfortunately, my busy life left me less time to invest in my blog, which makes me sad, but at the same time, I’m extremely happy and grateful to have such a rewarding profession and to be so in love with my fiancé! I assure you that everything will be back to normal after my wedding and honeymoon in September.

Speaking of wedding, I had the chance to go to few ceremonies this summer, and this pleated skirt was just the perfect item! I love the way it makes waves as I walk. It’s a romantic, feminine and elegant item that is also versatile—I love to wear it with heels and a delicate blouse for a special event or dressed down whit a long sweater and my rose gold mules for a romantic dinner with my fiancé.

A Walk under the Buds

I love this time of the year when nature suddenly wakes up. The leaves are not completely grown in and the sunset light can easily peer through the lime green tree branches. And this idyllic backdrop inspired me to take a long walk under the buds.

To blend in better, I matched my outfit with this color palette! And because I never neglect comfort when walking, I opted for a silk top, cotton pants, and my newest acquisition: my white sneakers. I will talk about them in detail in my next post!

See you soon!

Pretty Lace

Usually, I’m not a big fan of lace. I often find lace to be too much. Too floral, too intense, too transparent… But this time, I have to admit, I adore this one. First, because the pattern doesn’t represent flowers, which is original. Second, because it doesn’t cover all the dress. Third, because it’s lined with a skin colored material and, honestly, this is really practical! What do you think?
