“Loeffler Randall”

A Gust of Spring

Did you feel the spring wind last week end? I definitely did, as you can see in the pictures!

An oversized scarf and a wool coat are still appropriate even if the mercury is rising! But to add a spring note to your outfit, just opt for a subtle flower print…

Black Lace

This top is amazing!

I have to say that I’m not always a big fan of lace… I think that very often, the pattern isn’t very fine and the fiber quality isn’t really the best. Lace is like any other fabric. There are different grades of quality and for someone with a good eye, this is noticeable. But in this case, I assure you that the quality is there!

With a top like this one, you can simply pair it with black pants and pumps, and with some delicate gold jewelry. You’ll look amazing!

In My Bag

In my bag, I carry a lot of things! And lately, I have had some back pain, so I thought it was time to get a backpack. I chose a smaller than usual one to force myself to carry only the stuff I need!

Last month, it was my birthday so my love gave me a Loeffler Randall bag (he knows me pretty well actually). Since then, I have used it almost every day!

So… in my bag there are:

-My keys and my phone, of course… My phone case is from Rifle Paper Co. If you don’t know this brand yet, go have a look! The artist, Anna Bond, also creates beautifully illustrated agendas, calendars, greeting cards, and even some children’s books! It’s the perfect place to find some wonderful Christmas gifts!

-My iPad… I carry it with me everyday for work. To protect it, I found this lovely case from Cantin, a Québec brand that I love. This is the kind of product that both men and women like, and I get compliments all the time! Cantin also offers a beautiful selection of bags and laptop cases.

-An umbrella… Only because at this time of the year, you never know.

-My Raen sunglasses… Once again, because at this time of the year, you never know.

-My LoveXStyleXLife book… Also a perfect gift idea! I devoured it. Well I have to say that I’m a fan of Garance Doré’s blog, and this book is really well written! That’s all I’ll say about it for now because a complete post about her book is coming…

-My wallet… I prefer to keep my wallet very practical. I like to have space for my business cards, my bills, my money, and so on. And honestly, this one from Rudsak (also a brand from Québec) does its duty!

-My business cards… Because it’s crucial to have your business cards with you at all times (note to myself)! Also, they match perfectly with all the other objects. 😉

How about you? Do you carry other things in your bag?

Sophisticated Women

Do not judge a book by its cover, but…

It’s kind of strange to think that clothes can make us feel completely different! Every time I wear this outfit, I feel like a women. Not in terms of femininity, especially with this androgynous look… but in the way that I really feel like myself. In my opinion, being a women (or a men) is being authentic. It’s to truly know who we are and to be connected with one’s inner self. And this is how these clothes make me feel! Maybe because I’m simple yet sophisticated!

What do you think, do you feel this way sometimes?

Sam and I did this photo shoot 3 weeks ago in Frelighsburg (time goes so fast!), one of the prettiest village in the province of Quebec. That day, the weather was warm and the sun was radiant. What a wonderful fall we have been having!

I really love to play with transitional layering. By rolling up the sleeves of a coat to reveal the details of the shirt underneath or by turning up a collar with a delicate print, in this case stripes, it’s possible to create a unique outfit. This way, our favorite pieces take on a new look!

Wrap Skirt

It has been a while since I have posted on my blog! I have been really busy with my work lately. Being self-employed (I’m an acupuncturist) means constantly searching for opportunities and jumping on them when they appear, which I did!

Speaking of work, this look is perfect for the office. It’s different from the traditional suit while remaining elegant. Wool wrap around skirts pair perfectly with sweaters because the belt is easily adjustable for every silhouette. The bow adds a decorative element that catches the eye and draws attention to the natural curves of the waist. I like to wear this outfit at work paired with flats because I stand all day, and the look remains really pretty! With the cold weather coming, simply add tights and booties and that’s it!

Suited Up

This is the first suit to be showcased on my blog! I know that many of you work in an office, so I thought it was overdue…

Even if Tiger of Sweden offers an excellent selection of classic and formal blazers, I opted for one that is characterized by its cut and originality. I contrast the black suit with a white shirt to highlight the surprisingly high cut at the back of the blazer. It would also be stunning with a colorful high waisted skirt!

Black and white… It’s definitely the easiest and most elegant combo. Add any accessories to it and you’re done! I could easily live with a monochrome closet… it would definitely simplify my mornings.

For this look, I opted for a pretty trapeze cut shirt with black buttons. These kinds of little details definitely enhance a classic piece. Because of the top’s loose cut, I balanced the look with black fitted pants.

All accessories are allowed with a black and white outfit! I chose a python printed pouch and shoes to stay in the monochrome palette, en vogue more than ever this season!

The shirt and pants are exclusively available at Tiger of Sweden Montreal!

A perfect look for a sunny day on a sailboat! A little dress, pretty sandals, a hat and I’m ready to go!

Playing with Whites

A tone on tone look, with a little twist…

To break the classic perfect all white look, it’s trendy to play with other tones like ivory, cream or light grey. This way, the outfit is more interesting to look at and gives the impression that it wasn’t perfectly planned… and more relaxed.

It’s also really hard to get a 100% perfect all white look! Most of the time, there’s a slight difference between the two pieces. By embracing the different tones, it definitely eliminates the pointless color puzzle!
