“Helmut Lang”

The Pleated Skirt

Hi everyone!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer so far!

I’ve had an extremely busy one, working in three different acupuncture clinics and planning a very special upcoming event: my wedding!!!

I had to reorganize my schedule because I work 12 hours a day during the week and plan my wedding on weekends. Unfortunately, my busy life left me less time to invest in my blog, which makes me sad, but at the same time, I’m extremely happy and grateful to have such a rewarding profession and to be so in love with my fiancé! I assure you that everything will be back to normal after my wedding and honeymoon in September.

Speaking of wedding, I had the chance to go to few ceremonies this summer, and this pleated skirt was just the perfect item! I love the way it makes waves as I walk. It’s a romantic, feminine and elegant item that is also versatile—I love to wear it with heels and a delicate blouse for a special event or dressed down whit a long sweater and my rose gold mules for a romantic dinner with my fiancé.

Texturized

I have had this sweater since last year, and it quickly became my favorite! It’s loose-fit cut and big mesh create a breathable pocket of warmth. The ultimate in comfort! I like to wear it with this skirt. I think that mixing different textured pieces is a really quick and easy way to have an original look, even if it’s all black. Very practical!

Déjà Vu

Here are two pieces that I previously showed you here and here. They are versatile items so I wanted to style them differently to give you some new ideas.

The blouse is definitely perfect worn with a high waisted bottom because it drapes beatifully to the waistline. The plunging neckline and sheer silk back are suggestive. That’s why I balanced the look with classic culotte pants. By revealing only a small amount of skin and adding very few accessories, it’s possible to be elegant and seductive at the same time.

Culotte pants and high-heeled sandals are a wonderful combination. The heels lengthen the legs and give an impression of lightness, despite the flared cut of the pants that can sometimes seem heavy.

I love when my clothes are versatile and can be mixed in many different ways!

Spring Day

Last Friday was the first pretty day of spring in Montreal, and I didn’t hesitate to put on my leopard espadrilles and go bask in the sun! As you may know by now, I get chilly easily, so I opted for a turtleneck sweater. This one is definitely my favorite. I love how its loose collar can be styled in different ways. Unfolded, it can cover my nose, but I like to fold it inward for a contemporary look, or place it haphazardly for a relaxed and casual look. And, do you remember this blazer? I found it at 70% off last year–what a find! I love its loose fit and it’s definitely a good quality piece which adds elegance to every outfit. To complete the look, I chose a white pant and some caramel and golden accessories to reflect this beautiful spring light!

1 Dress… 4 Styles!

This is the perfect double layer dress to take on a trip! It’s extremely light, loose and comfortable. Best of all, it can be worn in multiple ways. It comes in 2 parts: the base dress and a little top to wear over it which gives the outfit a boxy look. I like the dress’s V back when worn alone. I also love pairing the cute top with shorts. This dress is really fun to mix and match with other items from your suitcase!

Bal Harbour Shops

The gray days are perfect for shopping! Especially in Bal Harbour near Miami… A wonderful place to window shop among the fountains, palm trees, pools full of fish and lovely fashion boutiques.

Casual Blazer

I consider this blazer as one of the treasures in my wardrobe. It goes with everything! It has an original look and the fabric is of exceptional quality. I love the loose fit which gives a casual look to an outfit. Whit this Chinese collar, the combination is perfect! What do you think?
