Black Lace

This top is amazing!

I have to say that I’m not always a big fan of lace… I think that very often, the pattern isn’t very fine and the fiber quality isn’t really the best. Lace is like any other fabric. There are different grades of quality and for someone with a good eye, this is noticeable. But in this case, I assure you that the quality is there!

With a top like this one, you can simply pair it with black pants and pumps, and with some delicate gold jewelry. You’ll look amazing!

Sam and I did this photo shoot 3 weeks ago in Frelighsburg (time goes so fast!), one of the prettiest village in the province of Quebec. That day, the weather was warm and the sun was radiant. What a wonderful fall we have been having!

I really love to play with transitional layering. By rolling up the sleeves of a coat to reveal the details of the shirt underneath or by turning up a collar with a delicate print, in this case stripes, it’s possible to create a unique outfit. This way, our favorite pieces take on a new look!

Almost All Black

I really am a fan of black! I would say that 30% of my wardrobe is made up of black pieces. In boutiques, when I come across something black, I try to resist the temptation to buy it by thinking of all the pretty pieces I already have.

I absolutely love everything about this top: its feminine cut, lace plastron and fabric. Its thick silk makes it wrinkle free and lint resistant–the perfect piece for the girl who has a white cat, like me! Unfortunately, this blouse is no longer available, as I have had it for some time; however, you can take a look at the selection I made below if you are still looking for the perfect black blouse.

On the other hand, this pant is still available and is definitely worth the investment! If you have already owned a coated pant, you know that their coating doesn’t stand up to many washings–but this one does! I wash it inside out in a regular cold water cycle and let it dry flat… and it’s still like new!

To lighten the look, I opted for a pair of nude pumps over black shoes. They lengthen the silhouette and create a fresher spring look because the beautiful weather is finally here!

Raw Umber Color

It took me a long time to take the plunge and get this coat. Actually, I immediately loved its cut and its raw umber color. But I hesitated, as this color is pretty hard to wear… Particularly because it doesn’t flatter the complexion. The trick is simple: to wear this coat with a scarf! This way, the vibrant color no longer clashes with the skin tone, and it’s possible to create multiple color combinations. Here, I opted for a light blue/green scarf, but this coat is really pretty with fuchsia and multicolored prints as well. It’s definitely worth it to follow your intuition!

Plum Is the New Black

I really love to wear these colors together. I think that deep plum is one of the best alternatives to black. It goes pretty well with any color that contains pink tones, like this silk shirt and this coat which I love a lot!

Casual Blazer

I consider this blazer as one of the treasures in my wardrobe. It goes with everything! It has an original look and the fabric is of exceptional quality. I love the loose fit which gives a casual look to an outfit. Whit this Chinese collar, the combination is perfect! What do you think?

LBD and Fountains

The fountain at Montreal’s Place des Arts is splendid! I was very surprised when the jets of water shot several feet high! This gave a pretty nice photo shoot, especially that I was wearing an absolutely fabulous little black dress… The fabric and the cut of this dress fall perfectly, and the subtle slit at the back adds a touch of seduction while remaining chic and elegant. It’s definitely the perfect dress for an evening at the opera!

Feminine Plaid

This fall, plaid is very trendy! What I particularly love about this shirt is the fact that it’s feminine. It’s a far cry from the traditional woodcutter shirt! Its translucent silk makes it airy and adds a sophisticated touch. With a leather jacket and black pumps, this look is perfect for a casual dinner with friends!

Magic Hour

This shirt is absolutely perfect for the end of summer! I love its color, its little stripes, its loose and relaxed fit, but most of all… It’s silkiness! It is absolute comfort while remaining completely delicate. Through it, I can feel the breeze of the last lovely summer evenings as I enjoy a perfect sunset!
