Tiger of Sweden

If you don’t know Tiger of Sweden yet,  you should definitely go by and check it out–especially if you are in need of suits or office wear! They have some classic pieces but also stylishly original ones, for both men and women, that you won’t find elsewhere. You will also be able to pick up some quality basics, such as t-shirts, sweaters, jeans, scarves, coats, shoes and accessories.

This Swedish brand is more than 100 years old and has prospered through the years because of its quality fabrics, fine stitching and fitted cut. Sam loves this brand and owns a few blazers that he wears almost every day… even on vacation!  They are still in good shape and he receives compliments on them all the time!

It’s definitely an address to add to your favorites! In Montreal, we are lucky to have one of the two only flagship stores in Canada that opened it’s doors almost 6 years ago!

Boucle & Papier

Boucle & Papier is a stationery boutique that opened it’s doors 2 months ago. As soon as I walked in, I immediately noticed the quality of the products.

The owner, Jessica, selected brands like Rifle Paper Co. and Garance Doré, as well as items from Montreal artisans. It’s the ideal place to find original greeting cards and small gifts for every occasion. You will also find wrapping paper, decorative objects, framed works (I gave a beautiful piece to a newborn, and his parents were delighted!), recipe boxes, calendars and much more.

To see so many pretty little things makes me want to get out my pen and write beautiful notes… With emails, texts and social media, communication has become easy and fast, but it’s so much more charming to receive a little something that we can keep for many years or even hang on the wall! What do you think?

Boucle & Papier: 5183 St-Laurent Blvd, Montreal.

Les Étoffes

Les Étoffes (which means fabrics) is a boutique that wears its name perfectly because when you step inside, you immediately notice the quality material used in making the clothe. The tailoring and cut of the garments are impeccable and timeless. They are definitely pieces that are worth the investment!

You will find a variety of basics in various monochrome tones, but also original pieces with nice prints and vibrant colors!

This boutique was the first to carry the famous Mansur Gavriel bag in Canada, and still showcases other exclusive clothes and accessories brands known for their quality, like Apiece Apart, Lamarque, Yune Ho, A Détacher, Protagonist and many others.

Oh! and I almost forgot! The design of the boutique is superb, but you probably already noticed that while looking at the pictures.

A must see!

Les Étoffes; 5253 St. Laurent, Montreal.

The Vestibule boutique lives up to its name. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you are at home… or maybe your dream home! This sublime boutique with a “lifestyle” concept takes its inspiration from the vintage and shabby chic styles, which are very en vogue right now. You will find accessories and decorations, gift ideas, everything to dress a table, tea, clothes and jewelry. Audrey, the young owner, has a really good eye for selecting very pretty products from near and far, like Prune Textile, Lucia, Si Simple, Maison Scotch, American Vintage, Free People, Odette NY and many more. Definitely an address to add to your favorites!

Vestibule: 5157 St. Laurent, Montreal.

The Kooples

I recently discovered this brand and I was immediately won over! You can find some classic pieces, like suits and dresses, but always with at least a unique detail which adds originality. It’s the perfect place for those (male or female) who have a dress code at work and want to look different. You can also find current fashion pieces, with variated prints like floral, zebra, python, leopard and butterfly. There is something for everyone! But what I prefer is the pretty lace dresses. I selected a few of my favorites below… Have a look!

The Montreal location opened last fall on the basement level of Ogilvy’s. Be sure to drop by and let me know what you think!

This is a very pretty boutique in Montreal’s Old Port. The owner, Marie-France, beautifully preserved the place’s charm by highlighting its brick wall, concrete columns and wooden shelves. It gives her boutique a warm and intimate atmosphere, which I adore! After 20 years of a successful career in the fashion industry, she is realizing her dream of offering a collection of carefully selected quality clothes. We can find brands such as Joie, Equipment, Iro, Velvet, Rails, to name only a few. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially now because the autumn/winter collection is 70% off and pre-spring is 20% off!

Chance: 227 St. Paul West.
