I really like to be warm and cozy, so if you run into me on a harsh winter’s day, you will probably find me wrapped up in my down coat. The trick to not being cold is to layer. Personally, I wear a hood over my knitted cap (or as we call it in Canada: a tuque), a long sleeve tee under a huge wool sweater, 2 pairs of socks, a long scarf that I can wrap around my neck twice, some gloves lined with wool and some very warm footwear. My boots are my best purchase from last year. These are from UGG’s “Event” line. They are very warm, comfortable and waterproof, but they still allow your feet to breathe. A must if you live in a northern country!
When it’s cold outside, I love having fun with my coats and styling them in different ways. By pulling my sleeves back, it’s easy to add an original touch to a simple black coat. Also, let me introduce you to my first pair of rain boots ever! It took me some time to find the perfect pair because I have flat feet and I like coziness when it comes to shoes. This pair is perfect for me, especially the parts that cover the calves because they are flexible and ideal for long walks in the rain!

It’s so cold in Montreal this weekend! It’s a little early this year, but inside I’m delighted to dediscover the comfort of cashmere! I couldn’t resist pairing this sweater with my famous orange bag. Their colors complement each other beautifully and add such a punch to a grey and rainy day like this one!
